Aricoma Enhances Citizen Data Access and Interoperability in myHealth@myHands
Aricoma is solidifying its role as a key technical partner within the myHealth@myHands project, focusing on the critical infrastructure and meaning-based standards required for the 2030 digital health vision. Our involvement centers on creating a seamless environment where EU citizens can securely access and share their health data across borders, fully aligning with the European Health Data Space (EHDS) framework.
By bridging the gap between technical architecture and clinical practice, we ensure that health information follows the patient rather than remaining locked in isolated systems. This effort is supported by our extensive experience in large-scale digital transformation projects across the healthcare sector.
Advanced Testing Frameworks and the GAZELLE Platform
A primary pillar of Aricoma’s contribution is the implementation of a robust testing and validation framework using the GAZELLE platform, which falls under IHECatalyst. As an established European standard, GAZELLE allows us to verify that various healthcare systems are truly interoperable and capable of secure data exchange. This technical oversight ensures that the digital infrastructure is not only functional but also highly reliable for healthcare providers and patients alike.
The perfect collaboration
Our expertise extends deep into the meaning-based layer of digital health, where we manage and validate over 400 000 clinical concepts within the SNOMED CT and LOINC terminologies. This common medical language is essential for ensuring that discharge summaries, laboratory results, and outpatient records are understood by hospital systems across Europe. By harmonizing these data structures, Aricoma is removing the barriers to cross-border healthcare collaboration. TermX provides an open-source platform that incorporates both SNOMED and LOINC.
Beyond infrastructure, Aricoma brings proven experience from citizen-centric platforms like EZkarta, which provides millions of users with access to vaccination records and medication overviews in Czech republic. This combination of high-level technical standardization and direct clinical innovation makes Aricoma a leader in the digital transformation of European healthcare.
“Our mission at myHealth@myHands is to bridge the gap between complex technical architecture and the practical needs of healthcare professionals and patients. We believe that interoperability and unified standards are the fundamental prerequisites for modern and efficient healthcare across Europe.” (Zuzana Jakubová, E-Health Team Leader)
Through these coordinated efforts in testing, standardization, and innovation, Aricoma is helping to deliver a more connected and patient-focused healthcare future for all European citizens.
